New Sonata Elements is well-acclaimed by the design community and has won four awards and nominations since its launch in May 2020
Sherbrooke, Qc, Canada (January 6, 2021) – American Biltrite is pleased to see that its new Sonata® Elements Luxury Vinyl Tile Collection launched in May 2020 has been gaining the attention of the design community and has received four awards and nominations:
The awards and nominations recognize Sonata Elements’ innovative concept of combining the hygienic benefits of LVT with the dimensional striated textile visual inspired by modular carpet tiles. By using its five (5) neutral base colours and ten (10) colourful linear patterns monolithically or mixed, designers and architects can create geometric, wayfinding and unlimited flooring designs.
“I had a hard time believing this wasn’t carpet—one can only imagine the surprise of first stepping onto it. This is a fun alternative if you’re interested in carpet but feel the performance of vinyl is better for the project,” said Vanessa Kassabian, principal and lead designer, DLR Group.
Easy to clean and disinfect, this no-wax-for-life flooring also features an aluminum oxide polyurethane surface treatment that provides superior scratch and stain protection.
The Covid-19 pandemic has certainly changed workplace, retail, hospitality, and institutional environments. Tested with EPA List-N disinfectants, Sonata Elements is a sophisticated, durable, and functional flooring option for any commercial space or residential project.
“Looking back at 2020. Like many others, the flooring industry has been confronted with its fair share of challenges and unpredictability,” says Catherine del Vecchio, Vice-President of Marketing. “At American Biltrite, we remained in operation supplying flooring and industrial rubber to the healthcare, transport, and pharmaceutical industries and continued to invest in research and product development, as well as marketing and digital tools to optimize our customers’ experience. We are thankful for the recognition that our new Sonata Elements striated textile LVT visual has generated” concluded Catherine del Vecchio.
Available in an 18” x 36” tile format, Sonata Elements is phthalate-free, FloorScore® certified and has an industry EPD. For even more design possibilities, it can also be coordinated with Sonata Wood Plank and Sonata Stone Tile Collections.
A Floor Creator application has been developed to allow customers to create their own floor design possibilities and helps estimate the material required for their project.
