History and who we are.
American Biltrite (Canada) Ltd. is a subsidiary of American Biltrite Inc. with its headquarters in Boston, MA. We are a progressive manufacturer of rubber and vinyl products specializing in a diversified product range.
Our Sherbrooke facility, initially geared to serve the Canadian footwear industry, started operation in 1913. Manufacturing in our 450,000 square foot plant is carried out on modern equipment, some of which is unique. Our products are made according to customer specifications and far exceed necessary quality standards. In 1996 American Biltrite became an ISO 9002 and in May 1997 an ISO 9001 certified company, the first flooring manufacturer to our knowledge in North America.
Gradually over the years we expanded our markets, beginning with industrial rubber products, and in 1950 with a complete line of vinyl and rubber floor coverings and accessories. We started manufacturing conductive and static dissipative tiles in 1965.
Today American Biltrite (Canada) Ltd. employs more than 350 people most of who are located at our Sherbrooke facility.
